Dr. Daniel Olukoya, General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, recently sparked conversation by stating that Adam, the first man in the Bible, was also the “first witch.”
In a sermon, Dr. Olukoya emphasized the gravity of disobedience, explaining that God equates it with witchcraft, a form of spiritual rebellion.
Olukoya elaborated on this perspective by referencing 1 Samuel 15:23, which reads, “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”He explained that just as witchcraft embodies a rejection of God’s will, so does disobedience. “When you disobey God, He takes you as a witch,” Olukoya asserted. This stance, he said, explains why Adam – by breaking God’s command in Eden – became the Bible’s first example of this spiritual rebellion
Olukoya also explored the depth of obedience necessary to form a close relationship with God, as outlined in John 15:14, where Jesus says, “You are my friends if you do what I command.”According to Olukoya, partial obedience does not suffice; following God’s commands only “95%” is still disobedience. True friendship with God requires unwavering obedience, as exemplified by Abraham, whom God called “friend” because of his faithfulness.
He warned that such disobedience could cost believers their place in heaven, likening spiritual compromise to a tragic outcome. “What a tragedy for one to be denied entry into heaven because the person is a witch,” Olukoya stated, emphasizing that disobedience is a serious barrier in the spiritual journey.Fast forward the VIDEO to 3 hours 6 minutes 15 seconds
