According to Vanguard, The National Working Committee (NWC) of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State for his exceptional leadership and resilience in the face of the state's ongoing political crisis.During a recent meeting with Fubara, the NWC praised his efforts to restore stability within the party in Rivers State, despite attempts to destabilize it.

 The committee acknowledged Fubara's crucial role in stabilizing and focusing the party, and expressed satisfaction with his leadership.The meeting was part of the NWC's ongoing consultative meetings with party leaders and governors, aimed at uniting the party and preparing for the 2027 elections. 

The PDP is determined to regain power at both the federal and state levels, and Fubara's leadership is seen as crucial to achieving this goal.The NWC also reaffirmed its support for Sir Ude Okoye, who was recently reinstated as the National Secretary of the PDP by a Court of Appeal ruling. The committee assured that it would continue working with Okoye, emphasizing the party's commitment to unity and cooperation in the lead-up to the 2027 elections.
