A resident of Sina Kwande in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Markus Dali, has lost his life while attempting to settle a f!ght between two individuals. The incident occurred when Dali intervened in a dispute between Barka Yama and Alex Z. Tari. It was gathered that Barka allegedly struck Dali, causing him to fall unconscious. He was later confirmed d3ad at the hospital.The 32-year-old suspect, Barka, has been arrested and charged with culpable homicide under Section 191 of the Penal Code.At a magistrates’ court in Yola, the prosecuting officer, ASP Francis Audu, recounted the events, explaining that Dali tried to separate the two fighters but was dealt a fatal blow by Barka.Chief Magistrate Muhammed Njidda has ordered Barka’s remand at a correctional facility, pending legal advice from the Department of Public Prosecutions.16/10/2024 7:16 AM
